The working principle of the 330180-51-05 eddy current sensor is based on the principle of eddy current effect, that is, when a conductor is in a changing magnetic field, an induced current is generated in the conductor, which is in a vortex shape, so it is called eddy current. Eddy current sensors measure changes in eddy currents to detect the displacement and distance of objects. Specifically, when the eddy current sensor is close to the object under test, the magnetic field generated in the sensor coil will induce magnetic induction to the object under test, thus generating eddy currents in the object under test. The intensity, phase and flow direction of the eddy current are affected by the material, conductivity, permeability, temperature and surface state of the object under test. By measuring the change of these parameters, the eddy current sensor can detect the displacement, vibration, thickness, surface state and damage of the measured object with high precision.
