Electromagnetic flowmeter is a kind of instrument to measure the flow of conductive liquid by the principle of electromagnetic induction. It consists of two parts: electromagnetic flow sensor and electromagnetic flow transmitter.
Electromagnetic flow sensor is usually composed of a measuring tube and two electrodes, the measuring tube has a conductive liquid flow channel, the two electrodes are located at both ends of the measuring tube. When the conductive liquid flows in the measuring tube, the magnetic field is cut and the induced electromotive force is generated, and the magnitude of this induced electromotive force is proportional to the velocity of the conductive liquid.
The electromagnetic flow transmitter converts the induced electromotive force measured by the electromagnetic flow sensor into a standard electrical signal, such as an analog signal or a digital signal. It can handle the induced electrodynamic force measured by a variety of electromagnetic flow sensors, and can output a variety of standard electrical signals, such as 4-20mA analog signals, RS485 digital signals, etc.
