The MRU-M-MB3 is an Inertial Measurement unit (IMU), a device used to measure the motion state and attitude of an object in three-dimensional space. It usually consists of three orthogonally mounted gyroscopes and three orthogonally mounted accelerometers to measure the angular velocity and acceleration of the object on the three orthogonally mounted axes, respectively.
The MRU-M-MB3 calculates the orientation (attitude) of the object by integrating angular velocity data, and estimates the speed and position of the object by integrating accelerometer data. Since IMUs do not rely on external signals, they can be used indoors, underwater, or in other complex environments where GPS signals cannot be covered.
MRU-M-MB3 has a wide range of applications, including drones, robotics, vehicle navigation, virtual reality, augmented reality, human motion analysis and other fields. When selecting an IMU, factors such as measurement range, accuracy, noise, power consumption, volume and cost need to be considered.
