PCI‑7342 includes two processors and a real-time onboard system with multi-axis interpolation. PCI‑7342 provides hybrid motion trajectory control and fully coordinated circular, linear, point-to-point, gear, and vector space control for embedded motion operations or host-centric programming environments.
PCI‑7342 also provides contour control for complex movements. The on-board CPU uses an embedded real-time operating system to implement event-based multi-task control. With this approach, multiple motion control programs and processes can run synchronously on the controller, independent of the host PC, and without external interaction, unless the host program or user is configured to actively initiate the interaction.
Featured with a real-time embedded OS and multiaxis interpolation, the National Instruments PCI-7342 (Part Number: 778916-02) is a 2-axis Motion Controller Device for servo/stepper motors.
