The PXI-8840 is a high-performance embedded controller based on the Intel Core i5-4400E processor for PXI systems. It packs a dual-core processor with a 2.7GHz baseband and 3.3GHz (single-core Turbo Boost mode), as well as single-channel 1600 MHz DDR3 memory. This makes the PXI-8840 ideal for processor-intensive modular instrumentation and data acquisition applications.
The PXI-8840 controller contains two compute engines, namely two cores, which are located in the same physical package.
