Application information
The TPMC917-10 is a standard single-width 32-bit pmc module that offers 4MByte of SRAM with onboard lithium battery backup batteries and four ESD-protected rs232 channels (TPMC917-10r only).

The 4MByte NV-SRAM is divided into two groups, each providing 512K x 32bit of memory. During normal operation (the standard 5V power supply is applied to the SRAM), the capacity of the lithium battery is monitored by the battery monitoring device every 24 hours, and if the battery voltage is too low, an interruption may occur

If the 5V power supply is below the threshold level of the battery monitor device, the monitor device switches the theSRAM’s power supply from the standard 5V to the battery. Any active access to the SRAM at this point can be performed correctly within 1.5µs. After that, any further access to the SRAM is impossible.

The miniature dip switch allows the selection of battery backup power from onboard lithium batteries or external batteries via the P14 I/O connector.

The TPMC917-10R provides four RS232 channels. Each channel has a programmable baud rate of up to 115.2 kaud. The 4-channel UART provides a 64-byte transmit FIFO and a 64-byte receive FIFO for each channel to significantly reduce the overhead required to deliver data to and get data from the sender and receiver. FIFOtrigger levels are programmable. According to the mannequin and IEC1000-4-2, the channel is esd protected up to +/-15kV.
